Five years after Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended, the young cast that starred in the series have gone their separate ways with varying success.

When Buffy the Vampire Slayer wrapped for the final time in 2003, the cast was heartbroken to have to leave the family of cast and crew members they had worked with for seven years. Since then some of the actors have moved on to fame and fortune, while others have not gotten far with their careers. Where are they now?

Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia)

Charisma Carpenter originally auditioned for the role of Buffy, but instead won the part of Cordelia. She played the character on Buffy for three seasons and continued the role on Angel for four seasons. Since Angel wrapped, Carpenter has had a series of small roles on various television shows including Charmed, Miss Match, Veronica Mars, Greek, Back to You and Big Shots. She has also starred in several independent films. In 2004, Carpenter appeared in Playboy in a 10-page, semi-nude photo spread.

In 2002, Carpenter was married to Damian Hardy and she gave birth to their son, Donavan Charles Hardy, in 2003. The couple separated in 2007 and divorced in 2008. Carpenter lives in Los Angeles and enjoys outdoor hobbies.

Seth Green (Oz)

Seth Green has appeared in movies and television since the age of 10. He eventually left Buffy to pursue film work such as the Austin Powers films, Can’t Hardly Wait, Rat Race, Without a Paddle and The Italian Job. He has made appearances on a variety of television shows and regularly voices the character of Chris Griffin on Family Guy. Along with friend and fellow actor, Breckin Meyer, Green created and produces the stop motion TV show, Robot Chicken.

Anthony Stewart Head (Giles)

After leaving the role of Giles, Anthony Stewart Head appeared in several British television series including Manchild, Silent Witness, My Family and Monarch of the Glen. He released an album titled Music for Elevators with musician George Sarah. Head was involved in several imaginings of the TV series, Doctor Who, including a webcast, a series of audio adventures, an audio book and a documentary based on the show. Since 2006, head has appeared in several films and TV series. His most recent work can be seen in the 2008 rock musical, Repo! The Genetic Opera and in the BBC drama, Merlin.

Head lives in Bath, England with Sarah Fisher, his partner since 1982. They have two children, Emily Rose and Daisy.

James Marsters (Spike)

In the year following his successful run as Spike in both Buffy and Angel, James Marsters played Brainiac in the series Smallville, committed to narrating a series of audio books for The Dresden Files and presented two performances of his own adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth on stage in London. Marsters was part of the cast of 2007’s P.S. I Love You alongside Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. He also voiced Lex Luthor in the 2007 animated movie, Superman: Doomsday. Marsters has had guest appearances in Without a Trace and Torchwood, a spin-off of Doctor Who. He plays Piccolo in the live-action film adaptation of the anime series, Dragon Ball, to be released in 2009.

Marsters has released two albums, the first with his band, Ghost of the Robot, and a solo album titled Civilized Man.
